摘要:
The oboe has developed during the second half of 20th Century very quickly and in many diverse ways including an increased range, the addition of extended techniques (multiphonics, frull tongue, double staccato, circular breathing, sing and play at the same time, etc.), and an overall development of agility, dynamics, and timbre. These innovations are thanks, in part, to one central figure in the music of 20th and 21st centuries, the Swiss oboist, composer, and conductor, Heinz Holliger. Other music written during this period by several composers, like Carter, Yun, Denisow, Castiglioni, and Berio further developed the instrument into what it is today.
